Are You Stuck in Survival Mode?

A Self-Assessment For Nervous System Dysregulation

Your free self-assessment will be delivered to your inbox.

You’ll also receive supportive emails to help you move beyond survival mode. You can unsubscribe anytime — no pressure, ever.

This brief self-assessment is designed to help you recognize the patterns of dysregulation and survival mode your nervous system may be living in — whether that’s activation (hyper-arousal) or shutdown (hypo-arousal).

When you understand where your system spends most of its time, you can begin choosing the steps that support healing — gently moving toward more safety, clarity, and balance.

It is possible to get your calm back.
To reclaim your inner peace.
To feel like yourself again.

Before I could teach any of this, I had to live it — and I was humbled by how real and utterly overwhelming it truly is.

I know what it feels like:

  • when your mind won’t stop racing about everything you “should” be doing — and everything you’re not

  • when everything feels like an emergency

  • when focusing on one thing at a time feels impossible

  • when even simple tasks feel overwhelming

  • when starting feels hard and finishing feels harder

  • when things that once felt easy now feel impossibly heavy

  • when your emotions sit right at the edge and spill over with the smallest nudge

  • when everything feels “too much” and “not enough” all at once — too much to hold, not enough capacity to meet it

  • when you can’t tell whether you’re over-reacting — or everyone else is under-reacting

  • when your body feels like the enemy

  • when pain never truly fades, but only becomes manageable

  • when deep, restorative sleep feels like a memory from another lifetime

  • when you withdraw from more and more people because fewer and fewer feel safe

  • when your life feels like it’s unravelling — and you can see it happening — but stopping it feels out of reach

I want to be very clear — it doesn’t have to stay like this — and there is an easier way out

Your system isn’t failing — it’s protecting you. And it can learn a new way. But there is one old mindset you’ll need to let go of:

Trying harder and doing more will not pull you out of survival mode.
Doing more, pushing more, bracing more — these are the very patterns keeping your nervous system stuck.

Trying harder isn’t a flaw — it’s a survival strategy. But it won’t bring your system back into regulation. What will? Small, steady moments of safety.

Moments of safety are the keys that unlock survival mode.
You need peace — not pressure.
Presence — not perfectionism.
Rest — not perpetual motion.

And you deserve guidance from someone who’s been through it — who won’t ask you to hide the mess or the exhaustion — and who will meet you exactly where you are.
